Come unleash your creativity surrounded by the stunning fields of lavender. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone who loves art and nature.
Date: Saturday July 18
Time: 3-6pm
Location:
Van Gogh Lavender Farm
6468 Sperry Rd
Mt Hood, OR 97041
Surrounded by the beautiful blooms at Van Gogh Lavender Experience, I'll teach you to fight the fear of plein air sketching while creating art that emphasizes the atmosphere around you. You'll learn how to observe your surroundings like an artist, and how to focus on the colors, shapes, textures and overall composition that bring your sketches to life. A palette of watercolors and paper will be provided at the event, but you are welcome to bring your favorite painting supplies as well. Please contact arin@arinraeart.com with any questions!
Spaces are limited, so make sure to reserve your spot soon. See you there!
About the instructor:
Arin is a watercolor and mixed media artist based in Portland. With a background in the physical sciences, she lives at the intersection of nature, science and art and uses art as a platform to teach, explore and understand how the world works while breaking down the barrier between art and science. You can learn more about her work and other workshops at www.arinraeart.com or on Instagram (@arinrae.art).
